Once upon a time, a penny was really worth something. You could buy 3 pieces of candy for a penny. A small orange soda at the corner candy store was only 3 cents, or three pennies. Now there is nothing you can buy for a penny, so we usually just toss them into a jar, and save them until they are worth dollars.

After the time has passed, remove the penny from the cup and gently rub the penny with the towel, and you will now find that your penny has begun to shine once again.
