How to clean a CD
Compact disc or popularly known as CDs that have been out of their cases are prone to getting dirty, finger printed, or dusty. Follow this simple technique with the tools you have around the house to make your CDs (Compact disc) as good as new.
Below are few tips on how to clean a cd
1. How to clean a cd tip one. Find a medium-sized clean container (big enough to submerge a CD, Compact disc).
2. Press out about a tbsp of hand dish soap, or window cleaner into the container. You can also buy an all-natural cleaning liquid that is made of condensed water.
3. Fill anything cleaning solution you used with water to make it foamy.
4. Put your dirty CD (Compact disc) in the soapy water and leave for several minutes.
5. Remove CD (Compact disc) and rinse it off in warm, running water.
6. Repeat process if essential.
7. Shake off excess water and let to air dry.
8. If the smudges are particularly stubborn, you can also use a very fine cloth, or your fingers, to rub some soap on the bottom of the CD (Compact disc). Soap will not harm the CD in any way.
9. Clean from the center of the disc out to the edges in a straight line. Do not wipe in circles.
10. Never put your hands in something that\'s plugged in the power socket! Even skilled technicians don\'t if they can avoid it!
11. Make sure the cotton bud is firmly warped. There must not be cotton strings left on the lens
12. If your player still doesn\'t work, take it to a repair shop. Don\'t tamper with the electrical system
