How to make salsa
Chips and salsa is a staple at parties. Also known as pico de gallo, fresh chopped salsa is simple to make and tastes immensely better than its jarred or canned counterparts. Plus, it\'s relatively inexpensive. This recipe is a crowd pleaser.
Ingredients require for how to make salsa
4 cups diced fresh tomatoes, deseeded
1/2 cup white onion, diced
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
1 large clove garlic, raw, finely minced
1/2 jalapeno pepper, finely diced
2 tsp lime juice, fresh squeezed
1 1/4 tsp salt
Directions for how to make salsa
Combine all ingredients in a large non-reactive bowl. Mix well. Some like it hot, some like it not. Of course, if you can handle more heat, add the other half of the jalapeno pepper. Otherwise, you can separate the mix and add more pepper to just half, thereby pleasing everyone by offering 2 heat levels. But be sure to make signs for which is which!
Serve fresh or cover and refrigerate for an hour to allow flavors to meld.
Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
