How to play golf
Successful golf is much more than a ball chase, or as Mark Twain acerbically termed it, “a good walk spoiled.” The sport of golf is a uniquely engaging and enigmatic challenge that demands golfers use every part of themselves - bodies and minds, in an integrated way. Working with the concept of mind-body integration is the foundation of the New School of Golf’s teaching methods and best way to get answer for how to play golf.
Twenty-first Century sport training is full of new ideas and extremely exciting. The scientific community has become involved in sport training from sport psychologists to Hypnotherapists. Lying within each of us is the potential for great achievements. Cooperation and training of both sides of the brain is the key to peak performance.
If you seek for how to play golf, traditional teaching relies on the left side of the brain which is linear, analytical and literal. Attention is focused on the physical movements of the body which hinders the smooth flow of the golf swing. Traditional teaching methods have focused on the physical side while stating the game of golf is 90% mental.
The new golf is aware of the importance of training both left and right hemispheres of the brain. The new golf integrates the left brain (logical information) with the right brain (universal information). The new golf works with the right hemisphere and body\'s intelligence allowing you to perform without conscious awareness. Movements are practiced until they become unconscious, effective, motor skills that you no longer need to pay conscious attention to, commonly called "muscle memory". An example of this would be juggling balls: each movement is learned using the left brain to map the pattern and is then done "automatically" using the right side of the brain.
The new golf opens up dialogue to discuss the extraordinary potential available to each one of us. Most of the ideas discussed in this guide are applicable in other areas of your life if optimal performance is your goal.
Tips to understand for how to play golf
Each player needs the necessary equipment to play the game. The equipment consists of a set of playing clubs, balls, shoes, tees, and of course a golf bag to put it all into. Using one of the clubs, either a wood, an iron, or a putter, each player attempts to hit a golf ball into successive holes which are located on the course, by using a club.
Each player starts at the teeing area. He or she places a tee straight into the ground and then places a golf ball on top of it. He or she then swings the club and hits the ball. Each player\'s goal is to get the ball into the first hole on the course. After the first player\'s turn, the rest of the players take turns in succession, hitting their balls into each hole around the course. The player who had the lowest score on the last hole usually starts playing the next hole first.
If you need to learn how to play golf, understand that every game has to have some sort of scoring system, and golf is no exception. Score is kept in the game of golf by how many strokes it takes to hit the ball into every hole. The least number of strokes wins the game!
While it\'s hard enough to hit a small white ball into a sunken hole, there are hazards along the course which make this goal even more difficult to obtain. There are bodies of water, trees, shrubs, sand-filled traps, and roughs. When your ball is ina hazard, you may not touch the ground or the water with your club. You can choose not to play your golf ball, but you must add a penalty stroke to your total score. You may then move the ball back to where you originally shot it from.
Another problem is if you hit your golf ball out of bounds or it gets lost. A ball is considered to be lost if is not found within five minutes. If your golf ball is lost or out of bounds, you must add a penalty stroke to your score and replay your last shot. If you learn this, you master on how to play golf.
There are many variations, but there is one basic type of stance for hitting the golf ball. A player stands with their feet slightly apart and their knees slightly bent. The club is held firmly with both hands, one above the other. The body is turned at the waist, along with the hips and the back, and the golf club is fully swung back and then forward. The ball is hit with a controlled force and the swing continues out to the other side of the body. A successful shot that is going to travel the greatest distance is high and travels a long ways. Low shots or putts are good for shorter distances, such as if the golf ball is relatively close to the hole. If you master on this, you get through how to play golf.
As with any other sport or game if skill, practice makes perfect, and practice using different stroke techniques will help any player improve their golf game score.
