How to play softball
How to play softball - you will need a bucket of balls, a bat, and a couple of gloves that fit your hand snugly, but not too tight. You will have to work with your glove to make it flexible and you might want to keep a softball in the glove while you aren\'t using it so that it will keep its shape.
When you are on the field, infield, or outfield, you have to keep your eyes on the ball, the batter, the pitcher and runners. Cheer your pitcher on! There are a bunch of types of pitches. Some of them are: windmill and a regular pitch. If you want to know how to play softball, learn to do windmill, you have to spin your arm in a circle. To do the regular pitch, you do an underhand throw. When you are in the field you have to stand in the ready position and you actually have to be ready!
When you are the catcher you have to watch the ball. You have to wear shin pads, a mask, and a pad that covers your stomach. If you are the first baseman you have to be ready the most out of all of the positions that you can play.
Some other simple steps on how to play softball
V-Arm
1. Put your left arm in a V shape.
2. Put your right arm inside the V.
3. Move your left arm away from the right shoulder, while pulling the right arm.
4. This may hurt a little, but trust me, it helps. Overtime it will get easier.
5. Repeat with other arm.
Arm Behind Your Head
1. Put your right arm behind your head, touching the left shoulder.
2. Put your left arm behind your head, on the elbow of the right arm.
3. Push down. Both arms should be moving.
4. Repeat with other arm.
Touch Your Toes
1. Put your right leg over your left leg.
2. Reach down to the ground, as far as you can.
3. Repeat with other leg.
