Introduction
Ink stains--a hazard for office workers everywhere! It\'s bad enough when you get ink all over your hands, but when it gets on your clothes it\'s a completely different set of frustrations. There is a solution; however, you don\'t have to resign yourself to wearing ink-spotted clothes.

Steps
1. Hairspray will dissolve ink right away then wash out later (air dry to be sure it\'s out before drying with heat which would set it in)
2. if that doesn\'t work, try the following
3. When the ink stain has just happened, immediately blot the ink to remove the wet spot, then pre-wash.
4. Dip a clean cotton swab into rubbing alcohol.
5. Dab at the ink mark with the cotton swab.
6. Repeat this each time with a second step with a fresh cotton swab, as many times as needed.
7. Dip another fresh cotton swab into cold water and dab the area to remove the alcohol from the fabric.
8. Allow the area to dry.
9. Most small ink stains on clothing or materials will be removed by simply applying hair spray on the stain. This will cause the ink to dissolve and it then it might be easily blotted out of the material. Soak and wash.
10. For really tough ink, either Dry-Erase whiteboard cleaner or water-based "Goof off 2" make a good pre-wash to quickly loosen the ink.
11. For really serious ink stains OXY-CLEAN is the only real way to ensure that all ink will be removed. Permanent marker can also be removed from clothes that have already been laundered with this product.
Some other ways on how to remove ink stains
1. Apply rubbing alcohol to a white cotton cloth and dab the stain carefully, so you don\'t spread the ink. Don\'t ever pour rubbing alcohol on your carpet!
2. Vacuum it out after a few minutes using a shop-vac. Alternately, you can blot it up carefully, using a clean white cloth. Don\'t rub the stain!
3. Repeat the process until you completely remove the ink stains from the carpet, or until you get no more transfer to the cloth. In the latter case it may not be possible to get all of the stain out. At this point, you can try a commercial cleaning solvent, although it is unlikely you\'ll get much more of the stain.
