How to stop anxiety

Anxiety is characterized by physical symptoms such as fast heartbeat, fast breathing, being jittery, on edge, trembling etc. and symptoms of thinking including excessive worrying, planning and apprehension.

It is essential to our survival, yet for a number of reasons it can increase in strength and presence. It may come to be with us more intensely and give rise to anxiety disorders involving such things as persistent worrying and apprehension, panic, phobias, OCD and depression.

If you want to know How to stop anxiety, follow these steps;

STOP - At the very first sign of nervousness, stop and admit to yourself that you are having anxiety symptoms. Tell yourself that you won\'t fight it - you\'ll just let it come.

DROP - Drop all of your muscles into an "over-relaxed" position. Let your body experience any symptoms it wants to while you are in this "over-relaxed" state.

ROLL
- Roll with it, baby. Focus your mind on your breathing. In and out. Nice, regular deep tummy breaths that supply your brain with the oxygen it\'s lacking at the moment. Keep your thoughts focused (in and out) until your body gets angry that your mind is not paying attention to its tantrum and just gives up on the "game." Without your mind focusing on your body symptoms, there\'s no fuel for the fire.

In order to eliminate anxiety from your life completely, it is important to understand that the ROOT CAUSE of the anxiety needs to be addressed directly.
The root cause is found in the part of the brain responsible for the anxiety response. This shift in the way the brain handles the anxiety response CAN be adjusted, quickly and easily to provide a permanent elimination of your anxiety disorder.

Here are some tips to help you to know How to stop anxiety:

a) Proper diet: Introduce more liquid into your diet. Avoid high sugar and high caffeine beverages.

b) Meditation and Yoga: Two of the oldest self healing techniques that involve your body and mind.

c) Exercises: Regular exercises will help you give vent to your stress and anxiety.

d) Alcohol: An intoxicant, which will excite your brain to be more active throughout the day and night. You may preferably avoid consuming alcohol or limit the consumption, if you’re already hooked to it.

e) Sleep well: Nothing is as precious as a good night’s sleep; try to get at least 7 hours of sleep every day

f) Family and Work Relationship level: How adoptable are you to family and work environment? Develop a "give and take" attitude to weed out family and workplace differences and quarrels, to reduce anxiety levels.

g) Reduce Anger: Manage your anger, as it is potentially a big trigger for increased anxiety levels.

h) Patience and Tolerance: Two of the well known positive traits that will help us to reduce anxiety levels. Though difficult to acquire these positive characters, add these parameters in your actions and thoughts.
